Reasons To Buy

For almost 100 years AGA or Rayburn cookers have been at the heart of many homes. Here are the reasons why these cast-iron cookers are a staple in so many kitchens.

A PROUD HERITAGE

Our story began in 1922, when Dr Gustaf Dalén - a world renowned physicist and Nobel Prize winner - lost his sight during an experiment. Although blind, he was determined to develop a cooker capable of every culinary technique, which was also easy to use. He did exactly that and the AGA cooker was born.

Over the years, the AGA cooker's design has evolved and over 70 years ago, the Rayburn was created, offering a highly efficient heating and cooking system in one appliance. The AGA is a cooker steeped in heritage and brings with it a unique style and warmth that together means it occupies a special place in the hearts of owners.

MADE IN BRITAIN

We are hugely proud that each and every model is built here in Britain.

Every AGA and Rayburn range cooker comes with a sense of history built in and continues to be designed and manufactured, at our factory in Telford in Shropshire, the birthplace of the industrial revolution, to the same exacting standards that have ensured the AGA cooker's place as one of our most trusted and cherished British brands.
SIMPLY BETTER FOOD

Built with cast-iron ovens, AGA and Rayburn models produce amazing, succulent food using the principle of indirect, radiant heat.

This gentle, radiant heat cooking works to lock in the moisture, goodness and flavour of food to preserve its nutrients, texture and taste.

Master of all culinary styles, AGA and Rayburn range cookers can grill, bake, roast, boil, simmer, toast and more, so whether you're cooking a simple dish or the most complex of modern recipes, you can rely on your cast-iron AGA or Rayburn to perform beautifully

ONGOING INNOVATION

Our attitude to design and functionality is fresh and builds on a century of history. We are constantly seeking innovation and developing our products to complement the increasingly busy lives of our customers.

Many of our cookers feature state-of-the-art induction hobs, which provide a safe, responsive and energy efficient way to cook.
The brand new AGA eR3 Series range has also been designed with a host of innovative features, including induction hobs and a conventional fan oven, to take flexibility to a whole new level.
RECYCLED MATERIALS GO IN TO EACH COOKER

Due to their renowned longevity, you'll never find an AGA or Rayburn cooker on a landfill site and retired models almost always go on to help create something new.

That's because AGA and Rayburn models are almost completely recyclable. Since the very first model was made over 90 years ago, a large proportion of each AGA cooker has been made from used materials.

Car gearboxes, guttering, old machinery, cast-iron cookers, door fittings, drain covers, lamp-posts and much more can all be found in the world's most famous cooker.
